Position Summary:
The City of Wentzville is seeking candidates interested in joining our Public Works Team. The Customer Relations
Representative performs clerical and administrative duties for the Water Division. This position serves as the first point of contact, providing information and directing the public via phone or in person. Typical duties include answering phone calls, responding to citizen questions and concerns, assisting customers with various services while providing respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions between co-workers, internal and external customers, community members and the public at large. Incumbents in this position may also perform routine data entry, filing, prepare various communications and documents, and assist with special projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree required. A high school diploma combined with equivalent experience may be considered instead of a degree.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of the City to answer questions from the public.
- Proficiency in using essential business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and essential office equipment.
- Ability to perform routine tasks.
- Ability to work independently under the direct supervision and make responsible decisions.
