Facility Maintenance Technician

Full-time hourly rate: $25.45

Position Summary:

The City of Wentzville is seeking candidates interested in joining our Public Works team. Wentzville is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state. Come grow with us! The Facility Maintenance Technician's typical duties include: performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair and upkeep on City-owned facilities, parking lots and grounds; completing work orders and repair issues; and will also assist other Facility staff with construction, maintenance and repair projects, Including assisting with minor electrical repairs.

Job Requirements:

• Skilled in the tasks pertaining to cleaning, maintenance, repair, and landscaping on buildings, facilities, parking lots and grounds.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
• Job-relevant certification/license, vocational/technical program completion, or completion of apprenticeship required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Lift Truck Certification is required within 120 days of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of building cleaning technology and general building safety.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain concentrated focus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment properly.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Drive vehicles used to transport materials, tools, and equipment.
