Entry Level Accountant

Accountant
Seeking Full-time, Entry Level Accountant, 40 hours per week for Clayton Capital Partners, Inc. (CCP), a leading middle market Investment Banking firm located in St. Louis and Cathedral Properties, owner of local residential and commercial real estate. Training and work will be performed in a professional office environment in our Clayton office.

The position will ultimately have the following responsibilities:
1. Enter invoices into accounting systems
2. Process payroll for hourly workers
3. Preparation of Financial Statement exhibits based on client data
4. Analysis of client accounting information
5. Perform summary write-ups of client documents
6. Management of virtual data room
7. Process incoming clients
8. Assist accounting department and CFO with other tasks and special projects on an as needed basis

The ideal candidate has:
1. Bachelor’s degree in financial related field with significant accounting focus
2. Extremely high attention to detail
3. Microsoft office experience required – high level of excel proficiency
4. Strong and thorough understanding of accounting principles along with high desire to gain practical experience
5. Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to dialog with senior management, senior partners, and communicate effectively with the entire team
6. Entrepreneurial skill set with the desire/ability to succeed as a team player
7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
8. Strong ethics and values
9. Superior problem solving and analytical skills
