About the College/Department:
Job Summary/Basic Functions
Working with the Aviation leadership to include the Chief/Assistant Chief Instructors, Operations Manager, Student Control and others, the Flight Line Scheduler is responsible for assigning aircraft to instructor/students based on required equipment, availability, flight priority, and aircraft maintenance status. This involves timely and efficient scheduling of students and instructors in coordination with the Assistant/Chief Instructor Pilot. In addition, the FLS will coordinate and schedule all required FAA check rides, which requires communication/scheduling with appropriate Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) to ensure student progress and completion of required FAA check rides. The FLS manages student instructor assignments, maintaining a prioritized list of waiting students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Experience in Aviation is preferred

Job Duties:
- 15% - Coordinate with Assistant/Chief Instructor and appropriate staff to schedule aircrafts, varying EKU Aviation flight operations, and FAA check rides in a timely and efficient manner. - ()
- 25% - Coordinates with Assistant/Chief Instructor, students, and instructors to schedule student and instructor flights. - ()
- 10% - Prioritizes, manages, tracks and reports student and instructor assignments, Flight Schedule Pro student accounts, and monthly flight times. - ()
- 25% - Coordinates with flight examiners and staff to ensure aviation students timely and efficiently progress through training programs and events. - ()
- 15% - Maintains accurate accounting and distribution of fuel cards and all “controlled” support equipment. - ()
- 10% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - ()
