Chief Finance and Operations Officer

The Francis Howell School District is seeking a Chief Finance and Operations Officer to support the execution of the district’s vision and mission by overseeing and aligning critical district administrative functions, processes, and special projects that engage multiple divisions. This executive level position has oversight responsibility for operational areas including budget, finance, debt management, business services, purchasing services, nutrition services, maintenance, custodial and grounds services, auditing, and construction and facility projects. The selected candidate will provide district-wide leadership, coordination, accountability, and management to accomplish the district’s mission of being responsible stewards of people, time, and financial resources. Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area required (Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred)
  • Successful experience working in Missouri school finance and operations or Governmental finance (minimum five years, required)
  • Experience in leadership roles of increasing responsibility including decision making, management, and long-range planning required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Budgeting and financial reporting knowledge and leadership experience
  • Strategic planning and action plan implementation experience
  • Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including teachers, parents, community members, and administrators
  • Excellent management and supervision skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
