The district extends from I-70 on the west and the I-270 bridge on the east, covering 78 square miles, an area larger than the City of St. Louis. Faculty and staff educate students in the district’s 19 elementary schools, six middle schools, three high schools, early childhood education programs, gifted programs, and Opportunity Center (alternative learning). HSD has tuition-based early childhood classrooms in every elementary school! The cost is $100 per child, per week, including pre/post care for HSD staff.
