The Free Lance-Star is seeking an enterprising and motivated reporter to join its award-winning team of journalists. This reporter will cover Fredericksburg and Stafford County and will focus on stories that show how municipal government impacts the lives of residents. Reporting will include general assignments, breaking news, feature stories and in-depth pieces.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and multitalented journalist who will develop story ideas and cultivate community sources, can write cleanly on deadline, and can produce videos and other digital content. This full-time position will require a flexible schedule to include night and weekend work. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a daily news publication and be committed to journalistic excellence.
