Salary: Approximately $75,000 - $95,000 commensurate with experience and education

Our investment program fuels the majority of the funds needed to provide pension benefits for more than 298,000 Missouri public school personnel and their families. The market value of invested assets for PSRS/PEERS is approximately $53.5 billion.

 

Our 161 employees work out of our headquarters in a recently remodeled/expanded building located at 3210 West Truman Boulevard in Jefferson City. We are now adding a satellite office in St. Louis, Missouri where this position will work out of. We provide state-of-the-art technology and security.

 

About the Job

As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in our private equity and private credit programs. You will monitor a portion of PSRS/PEERS’ private equity and private credit portfolios, including more than 500 partnerships/investments. In addition, you will analyze performance and cash flows and conduct research on private equity partnerships, private equity co-investments, private credit partnerships and private credit direct investments.

 

Our Investment Analyst works with external consultants and participates in due-diligence meetings via telephone, videoconference and/or in person, some off-site. You will also facilitate the processing of legal documents needed to evaluate prospective investments. In addition, you will prepare presentation material for our Board of Trustees and help prepare and present information to our CIO and Executive Director during investment committee meetings.

 

This position reports to our Senior Portfolio Manager – Private Markets. Some overnight travel is required.

 

Job Requirements

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or a related field. Active participation in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) course of study is required.
