Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician Senior has an active role in research conducted by the department of Animal and Food Sciences for the College of Agriculture. This position will perform bench research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and in collaboration with other professionals and individuals. The individual has the unique opportunity of assisting with the management and coordination of dairy research activities within a laboratory as well as at the dairy farm. Primary responsibilities of this position include: collection and processing of milk, blood, urine, fecal, and feed samples; entering and maintaining data within a database; and assisting with animal care. This position is also responsible for overseeing undergraduate and graduate students and their research projects.

Preferred Education/Experience

BS in Animal Science or related. Prefer 3 or more years animal research experience. Bovine handling experience preferred.

Driver's License preferred.
