Job Description
The Administrative Coordinator organizes and coordinates Division of Enrollment Management operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Administrative Coordinator will work in tandem with the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment to ensure the University's strategic priories are executed throughout the division. The coordinator reports to the Vice Chancellor who is responsible for providing office management and leadership services to the division. This includes maintaining office services and efficiency, ensuring seamless collaboration within and outside of the division. The coordinator will coordinate and assist with budget and fiscal priorities, special events, coordinate committee meetings, onboard new employees, manage the front desk and supervising student workers.
The Administrative Coordinator supports the enrollment management leadership team and is expected to work collaboratively and strategically within and outside of the Division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works in coordination with the Vice Chancellor to establish appropriate goals and design programs for professional development for the staff; collaborates with Admission, Enrollment-Marketing, New Student Programs, Financial Aid, Athletics, Student Support Services, Pre-Collegiate Programs, and the Registrar to ensure consistent and effective management, hiring, and training practices are in place for the department.
- Manage all operational, financial, and administrative activities for the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment.
- Develop and implement effective internal communication infrastructure with the Enrollment Management leadership team; inclusive of but not limited to directors and assistant directors.
- Create and implement innovative strategies to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Prioritize cross-functional projects and initiatives; ensure action items are executed and deadlines are met.
- Create and implement innovative strategies to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate the meetings and activities to ensure unity of operations.
- Adjust work project priorities to meet emergencies or changing conditions.
- Participate in periodic management meetings to keep top management informed of opportunities and challenges.
- Work directly with Enrollment Management leadership and staff to maintain financially viable operations.
- Create an environment that encourages and supports self-development and learning through regular feedback and staff development through orientation, training programs, and collaboration.
- Assist leadership with the development and creation of financial and budgetary projects.
- Perform other duties assigned
Shift
40 Hours per week. Additional hours may be needed during peak times
Salary
Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $19.23 p/hr to $20.67 Hourly
Grade: GGS-008
University Title: Office Support Associate
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively communicate to various constituencies
- A strong understanding of current issues within the profession is highly desirable
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Word Pro, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent organization ability, high level of accuracy, attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with
- minimal supervision
- Enjoy working collaboratively with team members
- Work evenings and weekends as required
