Job Description

The mission of the College of Nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is to transform lives by fostering a vibrant community of compassionate and inspired nurses. We are seeking a collaborative and experienced nursing educator to join our team of committed faculty members. For this full-time Tenure Track position, we are seeking a colleague who is committed to student success, advancing knowledge in the medical field, and service to the St. Louis community.

Position Responsibilities:The essential functions of this position are listed below.

1.Maintain a well-defined program of research with resulting publications.
2.Maintain extramurally funded program of research that includes opportunities for student learning and engagement in the research process at all levels.
3.Teach courses as assigned.Participate in course and program meetings.
4.Collaborate effectively with other faculty members both within the College of Nursing and throughout the University and beyond to develop interprofessional academic, clinical, and research opportunities.
5.Contribute to ongoing development, evaluation, and enhancement of academic programs.
6.Contribute to service within the College of Nursing by participating in faculty meetings and on committees.
7.Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive College and support the strategic Inclusive Excellence goals.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Required

1. A doctorate in nursing or a related field prior to employment;

2. A graduate degree in nursing;

3. Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Missouri

4. A defined program of research.

5. Demonstrated potential for extramurally funded program of research as evidenced by publications and/or successful funding record; and,

6. Academic experience as related to rank.

7. A demonstrated record of supporting success of students from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred
  1. Experience with Qualitative research and data analysis
  2. Graduate and Undergraduate level teaching experience with the ability to teach across BSN, DNP, and PhD programs
  3. Ability to teach courses both in-person as well as online
