Job Description Summary
Provide technology service support of moderate-level complexity to faculty, staff and students at the Weitzman School of Design, with primary support to the Undergraduate Fine Arts (FNAR) and Architecture Departments. Support includes AV, printing services and computer support for classroom labs, studio spaces and faculty and staff devices as well as university supported IT services (Canvas, BOX, Zoom, Adobe and the like). Support staff and faculty desktops and laptops and provide hardware and software recommendations and guidance. Support and deploy disc images for MAC & PC computer labs, classrooms, and kiosk computers. Hire, train and manage lab assistants/temp staff when required for support. Serve as an escalation point for second-tier/more complex issues. Collaborate and participate with other IT staff on division wide tech projects.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technology service support of moderate-level complexity to faculty, staff, and students at the Weitzman School of Design with primary support to the Undergraduate Fine Arts (FNAR) and Architecture Departments. Support includes AV, printing services and computer support for classroom labs, studio spaces and faculty and staff devices as well as university supported IT services (Canvas, BOX, Zoom, Adobe and the like). Serve as an escalation point for second-tier/more complex issues.
  • Maintain technology in computer labs, including installation, update & replacement of hardware and software for Windows and Mac computers.
  • Support and deploy disc images for MAC and PC computer labs, classrooms, and kiosk computers.
  • Hire, train and manage lab assistants/temp staff when required for support.
  • Collaborate and participate with other IT staff on division wide tech projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience with JAMF and Mac imaging.
  • Intermediate level MacOS/IOS experience.
  • Experience with printing and AV support.


Preferred
  • 2-3 years experience preferred.
  • Intermediate level Windows 10/11 experience desired.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Windows imaging/MDT, and IBM BigFix/endpoint management systems a plus.
  • Experience with programming languages a plus.
  • Experience with bash scripting desired.
