Senior Research Laboratory Specialist
The Department of Surgery is seeking a Senior Research Laboratory Specialist for Dr Susan Shea's lab. The Senior Research Laboratory Specialist will perform a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as developing and executing experimental protocols. The position is microfluidics and other hemostatic assay focused. They will prepare reports of findings and assist with data analysis and visualization. They will also oversee specimen inventory as appropriate, and develop documentation for publication and regulatory needs.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
Essential Functions
Must possess excellent communication and computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills is necessary to work collaboratively with investigators and research staff.
Physical Effort
Mostly sedentary, must be able to lift boxes.
